Balance with Exercise and Diet
We are home again, but there is a trip looming in the future. A cruise in March. To Mexico.
So....since random eating habits have taken over my life once again due to stress, the care and death of Agnes, the ill health of my mom, traveling to Ohio and to Tennessee, Thanksgiving and Christmas and New Years....all of these have contributed to tighter pants.
It's time. Balance with exercise and diet.
As hard as it will be to do, I am stepping on the scales to face the music and start again. After that many things in the kitchen will be pitched, either in the trash or in other places (such as the remaining crockpot peanut clusters will be post-Christmas gifts for the mailman and the neighbors). Then old menus and plans will be re-visited.
The reason for this is not just to curb the 'tighter pants' syndrome. My feet have been swelling lately. When I gain weight, my feet swell. Not good.
My knees are hurting again. When I gain weight, my knees hurt. Not good.
I feel better overall! When I am sluggish, I tend to eat. And eat some more. I snack. I eat when I am not hungry. Not good.
My plans are to keep busy and to work on knitting and quilting. I can't eat when I am knitting and quilting. This is a good thing!
Plus I need to make wiser choices with food. I slipped into the 'eating biscuits at Red Lobster' and once I do that, I tend to do more 'eating banana bread at Bod Evans' and it is just a slippery slope of bread, bread, and more bread. Not good,.
Exercise needs to be added in also. Also on the agenda today is to Walk with Leslie. I hope I get that in,.
Here we go---Balance with Exercise and Diet!
