Twelfth Day in Florida - January 25, 2019
It really doesn't seem like we have been here for 12 days. Just two more full days and then we fly home to frigid temperatures and mounds of snow.
I have been having some rough nights since we moved to Parc Soleil. The bed just isn't as comfortable, and the comforter seems heavy and hot to me. I have been waking up around 1:30 or 2:00 and can't go cpback to sleep because I am just hot. Last night was one of those nights. I had read for a while, then I went to bed late, I thought. I was hoping I would just sleep through, but no. I was awake again around 2:30, then up for an hour or so, I returned to bed, but somehow I ended up lying on the couch. Gary found me ther and made me go back to bed around 5:30. I woke up again around 10. I hope I sleep better tonight. This is just not good.
So because I slept so late, I ate two bowls of Special K around 11. We watched The Price Is Right, then finally decided to shower and get dressed for the day. Everything seemed late for the rest of the day.
We drove along International drive, past the Convention Center, and past Pointe Orlando, looking at restaurants to see what interested us for a late lunch. We ended up at Red Robin, not exactly a place we never go, but one that we don't visit too often. We ordered pretzel bites (not too good) and cheeseburger and salad for me and clucks and fries for Gary. They were rather skimpy on the fries and Gary had to ask for seconds on those.
Then we drove to Bss Pro Shop and looked around there. I found a longer light gray top to go with leggings on sale, plus a fleece jacket for only $19.99 so I bought those. Gary got a shirt on sale and a duffel bag to put our purchases in for the trip home.
Our drive back to the resort was a different way and eventually took us to Turkey Lake Road.
Most of the evening was spent watching tv and reading. I am engrossed in the book Sold on Monday. We took a break and returned to IHOP. Gary had chicken and mashed potatoes and corn with a salad and I had the all-you-can-eat pancakes only because they were cheaper than the regular pancakes.
Back at the resort for the rest of the evening for tv, reading, a glass of wine, and hopefully a better nights sleep than I have been experiencing.
