January 19, 2019. Orlando Trip - Day #6

Kind of  a lazy day today.

My Fitbit showed over 8 hours of sleep last night.  I should have been well-rested but it didn't stop the need for an afternoon nap.

Breakfast was big today. We finished the eggs since Gary scrambled what was left and split them between us.  He added some sausage links and a hash brown square for each of us.  I heated a chocolate chip muffin in the microwave and drank a glass of OJ and Diet Dew.

I spent most of the morning posting in our forum about the daily doting, then catching up on coloring three days of illustrations I had missed.  I talked to Hilary for a bit and she told me about Landon's wrestling meet last night and how Owen had lost Woody's  hat and through the Papaw had it.  Later Gary talked to Landon who told him all about his experiences with wrestling.  I miss them.

We walked around the perimeter of the property and ended up by the pool.  We decided to have lunch  on the patio there.  Since I spotted fish tacos on the menu, that was my choice along with a fruit cup.  Gary had a grilled Cuban sandwich and fries.  The pool was much busier than it had been a few days ago when it was much cooler.  A trivia game was going on.  If we had played, we would have won because the winning number was only 5 and we knew many more than that! It was all music and Gary knew most of the answers to the 20 questions.

This afternoon we stayed in the condo.  Gary watched the Purdue/IU game.  Go Boilers!  I sat on the balcony and read more of my book The Wife Between Us.  This is when the urge to nap overcame me!  Also we had a text from Matt with a picture of the puzzle Cooper had put together.  We could see Lynnlee in the picture, sitting on her mommy's lap.  I miss the kids!

Before we left for dinner, Blaine called.  He had stopped by the house and checked the gas tank and went in to see if the furnace was working ok.  He said our drive was blown shut.  Side note: I saw on the White County Scanner FB page that it took a lady four hours to get from the Indianapolis airport to Monticello.  She had flown home from Orlando today.  Hope it's not that bad when we get home on the 24th!

Dinner tonight was at Flippers.  The traffic to get there was horrible!  It was as bad as the traffic in the summer or during spring break time.  The restaurant wasn't crowded though.  We ordered breadsticks and drinks to start, then I ordered a pasta dish and Gary had a sandwich.  The drinks came.  Then the pasta and sandwich.  No breadsticks.  We mentioned it to the gal who brought our food.  She apologized and said she would put the order in and we wouldn't be charged.  Then a manager came over and apologized again and asked if we wanted to eat the breadsticks there or get them to go.  We decided to take them with us.    Our meal tonight was relatively cheap compared to others this trip!

Back to the condo!  Each of us ate a breadstick while they were still hot.  I think Gary had two!  Now it's Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune time.  Back to reading my book.

A lazy day but I am so glad we are here to relax in 80* weather rather than be stuck inside, looking at the snow blowing and listening to the ice pinging on the metal roof.
