In like a lion, out like a lamb..oh wait, that is for March, not February!

I just don't know.

January seemed like it went on forever, then again it just flew by.  It seems so long ago that we were in Gatlinburg, but it seems like just yesterday that we were celebrating New Year's Eve.

I like January.  I like February.  I don't like March at all.  April is ok, and May is one of my favorite months.

I think I have a different perspective this year because my world, for the first time since I was 5, doesn't revolve around school calendars.  Well, it does to some extent with Landon and Megan and Matt, but on a daily basis at our house?  No.

It is February.  It used to be the month of birthdays - Agnes' birthday is on Feb. 4, Ann's was on Feb. 14, Grandma Greta's is on Feb. 17, and Mom's is on Feb. 21.  Cousin Carol's birthday is at the end of the month.  Also in this month are Valentine's Day (my second least favorite holiday) and President's Day (which used to be a big deal but not so much any more since it is usually a built in snow make up day on school calendars).  Oh yes...Groundhog Day is in February too.  Sometimes Ash Wednesday pops in, depending on the date for Easter.

Today is Feb. 1.  No snow on the ground.  Cold temps. I was awake early, fussing around with the internet for a while since it wasn't working quite right, then a later shower than usual, and a late breakfast.

Skimpy lunch to make way for a better dinner.  I am trying to cut back on certain food items as well as quantity of food consumed, so lunch was some cheese and ham on crackers and a lemon meringue dessert cup.  I plan to make a ground chicken Asian dish for dinner.

Hilary stopped by on her way to visit Gina at the photography studio.  We haven't heard anything about how it went yet.  I hope she can pursue her talent in photography!

Two strips are pinned together to stitch, and several other blocks are pinned to stitch also.

Tomorrow's plans are changed from going to the Children's Museum to watching the kids while Hilary goes to the doctor.

Gary wants to take the trash over to his mom's for pick up, so I can ride along if I want.  I want.

It's February.  Hope it is a good month!
